Stella Diamond

It took Stella only one Bikram class to realize that she had found a new direction for her life. Right away, this sequence made an impression on every part of her body. It felt like the most thrilling and inspiring experience that someone could come across. That very evening, Stella went online to see what teacher training options were available. Undeterred by the requirements, time commitments, and financial investment, Stella was determined to become a teacher. This began her frequent and regular practice. Stella grew up in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She spent many of her formative years traveling near and far, and finally arrived to the US in 1996, the travels did not stop there and to this day, she appreciates many cultures and philosophies. After graduating from Parsons School of Design in 2007, she dedicated herself more fully to the practice of Hatha Yoga in New York City. Stella was certified to teach Bikram Yoga after completing the teacher training in Palm Desert, CA in June of 2009. Since then she has found all eight limbs of yoga fascinating and supplements her teaching by studying Sanskrit, Kirtan/Mantra and Vedic literature.

Stefi McGeorge

Stefi graduated from the University of California, Davis where she participated on the swim team and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Managerial Economics. She worked in the banking industry for years before her children were born. Stefi started taking Bikram Yoga when the studio opened in 2007 and hasn’t stopped. “I love how you get incredible stretching, cardiovascular workout, and strength training- the facial, massage, and detox are an extra bonus!” Stefi graduated from OHM School in 2015 and attended the Inferno Hot Pilates Teacher Training in 2016 and has been teaching all of our classes since. In addition to spending time with her husband and four teenage daughters, Stefi loves any excuse to be outside and especially enjoys water sports.

John Rayner

John grew up in Litchfield Park, AZ and graduated from The University of Arizona with a degree in Business Economics. John began farming with his family (four generations of cotton farmers) in 1991. John took his first Bikram Yoga class in 2001 and immediately connected with the practice. "You get out of this yoga exactly what you put into it. It's up to YOU!" He became certified to teach in the Spring of 2005 and went on to compete as a representative of Arizona in the National Yoga Asana Championship in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 where he placed 5th in the nation. When John isn't stretching and sweating in the yoga room, he can be found sweating on the farm, on his mountain bike, hiking in the desert or poolside with his two daughters.

Judith Lozoya

Judith started practicing Bikram Yoga in January 2012 after a doctor recommended it would be good to alleviate stress. Judith quickly experienced the results physically and mentally. After 3 years of a consistent practice she decided to become a certified Hot Yoga Teacher and graduated from the Sterling Hot Yoga Teacher Training in the Summer of 2015. Judith graduated from Arizona State University in 2010 with a degree in Elementary Education. After teaching middle school science she returned to school receiving her Masters in Educational Technology from Grand Canyon University in Spring 2013. Judith continues teaching students in the middle school classroom and adults in the hot room. When she is not teaching you can find her spending time with family, hiking or in California!

Kelly Green

Kelly started practicing Bikram Yoga in January 2008 at 19 years old, after a close friend dragged her to a very early Sunday morning class. She quickly became addicted to the sense of accomplishment she felt laying in final savasana at the end of class. But what kept her coming back was the profound calming effect the yoga gave such a high-strung, stressed-out girl. The yoga has helped her find a sense of peace and "laid-back-ness," two things she had struggled finding a balance with for 19 years prior. More than four years later, she became a certified Bikram Yoga instructor in the Spring of 2011 in Los Angeles, and has been teaching at BYA since. Kelly graduated from Arizona State University in December 2010 with her degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, and has held positions at the Arizona Republic and Phoenix New Times. She has also had the opportunity to travel across Europe and study abroad in Spain. A second-generation Arizona native, Kelly loves to write, hike, travel, and is passionate about anything to do with food.

Panagiota Kouloumberis

Pana discovered Bikram Yoga in Michigan and will often share her first experience with new students to provide encouragement and let them know that they WILL make it. Not accepting defeat, she returned to her second class and completed a 60 day challenge from there. Realizing the amazing effects on her body, mind, emotions, and spirit, Pana was hooked. She maintains a regular practice and very much enjoys sharing this gift we call yoga. Within her first year of practicing she knew that she would attend teacher training. To her there is nothing more amazing than sharing something she loves with others while helping them find a better self. In her class, she will encourage you to find your edge, maintain your breath, and remember to smile! Panagiota graduated with honors from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Behavioral Sciences. She studied at Yoga Therapy of Michigan prior to graduating from Bikram's Yoga Teacher Training in the Fall of 2012. She is a 700 hr. Registered Yoga Teacher.

Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class: 

Every class is beginner's-level and practiced in a heated room to increase circulation and warm your muscles.
 
The series of 26 yoga postures, 2 breathing exercises, is suitable for all ages, body types, and levels of ability. The Bikram Yoga series was scientifically designed to stretch and strengthen every muscle, ligament, tendon and joint, and promote the development of a strong, lean, and more balanced body. 
 
A minimum of 3 classes per week is strongly recommended to experience optimal results.
